We would like to take a moment to recognize and thank our team members on completing a challenging project located within the city of Reading, PA. The project posed many challenges including proper blast design to avoid damaging surrounding structures and buried utilities, traffic control during blasting, and coordinating with three local agencies and authorities. The Trinity team designed 17 small blasts of unique, individual shots, covering each shot with blasting mats and venting them immediately afterwards to allow gasses to escape. We used a combination of non-el and electronic detonation methods, depending upon the constraints of each shot.
