Meet Jamie Starr, our Senior CAD Support Technician at TriTechne! Jamie’s role focuses on fieldwork, conducting site surveys, and OSP engineering designs for new fiber jobs and road moves. She documents field maps and other critical updates to network infrastructure. "I work in the field mainly, doing site surveys and OSP engineering designs for new fiber jobs, and road moves along with other various jobs," she explains. Jamie brings a wealth of experience from her 10-year tenure at Windstream, where she started in Test & Turn-Up (TTU) and advanced to Broadband Engineer II. Her background includes strategic planning, network design and testing, implementing and managing network technologies, and working with leading vendors like Nokia, Adtran, and Calix. She also has strong skills in enterprise network troubleshooting, IP routing, and network scripting/provisioning. Jamie was drawn to the telecom industry after studying networking in college and starting her career in June 2015. "I really enjoy this field and always learn something new every day, expanding my knowledge and keeping up with the ever-changing and improving technology," she shares. In her role at TriTechne, Jamie is most excited about gaining more experience on the OSP engineering side after many years in broadband. Meet Kevin M. Gambrill, our GIS Analyst II at TriTechne! 🌐📊 Kevin's role as a GIS Analyst involves leading GIS data intake, processing, access, maintenance, and end-user training. He also acquires public access GIS data, integrating it into our work-program to support the design, permits, and management teams. "As a GIS Analyst, I take a lead role in GIS data intake, processing, access, maintenance, and end-user training," he explains. With extensive experience spanning both the public and private sectors, Kevin's professional journey includes roles such as GIS Data Specialist in the Federal public sector, GIS/Data Field Analyst in the private sector, and over a decade as an Urban Planner in both county/city and private sectors. Kevin joined the telecom industry to expand his professional experience in the GIS field, particularly gaining practical experience with fiber optic data. "The combination of wanting to expand my GIS experience along with an opportunity to gain exposure to a new utility triggered an application to join the TriTechne team," he shares.
