We extend a very warm welcome to Matt Lowry, our new Associate General Counsel. Matt brings a wealth of renewables experience with him, having worked across many aspects of our industry including C&I Solar+Storage development, community solar project acquisitions, tax equity partnerships and ITC transfer sales. When interviewing Matt, we asked him to finish this statement: "IF your company intends to deploy smart energy assets to the grid edge nationwide...". His answer told us what we needed to know: "THEN we can meet clients' ESG goals and monetize the full breadth of distributed assets’ value stack by employing best practice in contract standardization and capital structures". Matt, we're glad to have you on board. #DERs #taxequity #ITC #renewables #projectdevelopment

When it comes to transportation decarbonization, Dave Mullaney's contributions quickly come to mind, which is why we are thrilled to welcome him to our team as Chief Transformation Officer. A published author, a sought-after speaker, and an industry analyst, Dave brings a wealth of experience and insights to our growing expert team. As the founder and leader of RMI's truck decarbonization program, Dave worked on diverse aspects of fleet electrification for more than a decade. He has led analyses of grid investments needed to support truck and fleet charging for many of the largest utilities in the United States. He has worked with fleets globally to assess how EVs can meet their operational needs. He has worked with governments in three continents to craft policy and investment plans to accelerate the adoption of commercial EVs. He has led coalitions of prominent business to create strategies for cost-effective decarbonization of trucking by 2050. All of this was based on RMI's best-in-class analytical and big data tools whose development Dave led. Dave believes that enduring change can only occur if it creates value for all stakeholders. He asks: "What if we could use data and analysis to unite fleets, utilities, and the public sector behind a vision to invest in fleet electrification that reduces cost, strengthens the grid and delivers public health and climate benefits?" Welcome, Dave! A new age of solar+ is here  ☀ 🔋 🚛 #decarbonization #fleetelectrification #charginginfrastructure

Thank you American Enterprise Institute for having Jeff Weiss, Managing Director on the "Achieving Speed and Scale: Developing a Next-Generation, Efficient, and Resilient US Power Grid" panel, moderated by Rick Geddes. "The 21 century is the century of non-carbon. And that is the transition we are going through today," said Jeff Weiss. "As we move forward, the reason we call this the speed and scale (panel) is it only matters if we do it fast and we do it big. It doesn't matter if we all get exactly what we want, and it doesn't happen because it took 10 years. It only matters as we get over the goal line." Driven by industrial operations, fleet electrification, growing data centers & AI, corporate energy demand is growing exponentially. The impact on C&I customers is changing the energy landscape and adding uncertainty, increased power volatility and most notably increased energy rates. While utilities face an energy gauntlet challenge of their own, with advancements in technologies and policies, C&I customers are in great position to steer their energy futures. Their decarbonization, electrification and sustainability goals can be met with the right energy transition roadmaps that focus on TCO reductions. Missed the live event?
