Today the True Crew is celebrating World Down Syndrome Day! March 21st is the day to Rock Your Socks!! Why the 21st you ask? Individuals with Down Syndrome have three copies of their 21st chromosomes. 3/21! The karyotype of chromosomes actually look like mismatched socks. This year we were fortunate to partner with the Alaska Down Syndrome Network (AKDSN) to create custom mismatched socks to show our support and raise awareness of this meaningful cause. These beautiful collage art socks feature artwork donated by young Alaskans from the Down Syndrome community. True North was able to donate 100 pairs of these amazing art socks to the AKDSN to use as a fundraiser… and they SOLD OUT in 48 hours!!! Thank you to everyone who participated and helped us Rock Our Socks for Down Syndrome Awareness! One more thing… Save the Date!
