𝙀𝙉𝙀𝙍𝙂𝙔 𝙐𝙋𝘿𝘼𝙏𝙀 — After a cold spell that has been ongoing since earlier this month, the temperature pattern across the Midwest is expected to flip with above-average temperatures expected through the end of October. The warmup will lead to a below-normal demand for gas-weighted heating degree days. 𝙏𝙍𝙊𝙋𝙄𝘾𝙎 𝙐𝙋𝘿𝘼𝙏𝙀 - A ridge of high pressure across the eastern half of the United States will steer tropical cyclones clear of the country's coastline through the end of October. Unfortunately, this high will also be steering other low pressure systems clear of the region too, which will lead to increasingly drier conditions. #HurricaneSeason2024 #HurricaneSeason #Hurricane #Tropics #TropicalStorm #Atlantic #AtlanticBasin #Rain #Rainfree #Dry #Drought

𝙇𝙊𝙉𝙂 𝙍𝘼𝙉𝙂𝙀 𝙊𝙐𝙏𝙇𝙊𝙊𝙆 - 10/16 - Temperatures will be near or above normal across most of the U.S. as October draws to a close, with the Plains having the best chance of seeing much warmer than normal conditions. Precipitation will be near or below normal for most areas during this time, except for a strip from the Great Lakes to the Mid-Mississippi Valley, which may see above-normal rainfall. #warm #warmer #cold #colder #drought #heavyrain #weather #longrange #truewx #truewxlongrange

𝐋𝐀𝐓𝐄 𝐖𝐄𝐄𝐊 𝐒𝐍𝐎𝐖 𝐅𝐑𝐎𝐌 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐍𝐎𝐑𝐓𝐇𝐖𝐄𝐒𝐓 𝐓𝐎 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐒𝐎𝐔𝐓𝐇𝐖𝐄𝐒𝐓 ❄️ A low-pressure system bringing much colder-than-normal temperatures from the Northwest to the Southwest will also produce snow in the Cascades and Rockies through Sunday morning. The heaviest snow is expected at elevations above 8,000 feet, stretching from Washington, Idaho, and Montana down to Arizona and New Mexico. However, some light accumulations may occur at elevations as low as 4,000 feet. Most of the snow will fall between late Thursday and Saturday afternoon, with the potential for snowfall rates upwards of 1" per hour at times in higher elevations. #Northwest #Southwest #Winter #WinterIsComing #Snow #Snowfall #SnowFighters #SnowPros #Snowplowing #SnowRemoval #SnowAndIce #Ice #Deicing #Brine #Salt #SnowAndIceManagement #Weather #WeatherUpdate

As an area of low pressure moves into the Northwest, it will bring significantly cooler weather to the West by the weekend. How cold? Many parts of the Northwest will experience temperatures 5-15°F below normal for mid-October on Thursday and Friday. In some higher elevations, temperatures could drop more than 20°F below normal. This chilly air mass will continue to spread into the Four Corners region over the weekend, bringing similar conditions. Much like earlier in the week across the East, this cold snap will result in widespread frost and hard freezes, reaching as far south as northern Arizona and New Mexico. #West #Northwest #Arizona #NewMexico #frost #fall #autumn #cool #cooler #cold #colder

𝐇𝐈𝐆𝐇 𝐋𝐄𝐀𝐃𝐒 𝐓𝐎 𝐀 𝐃𝐑𝐘 𝐓𝐖𝐎-𝐖𝐄𝐄𝐊 𝐒𝐓𝐑𝐄𝐓𝐂𝐇 𝐀𝐂𝐑𝐎𝐒𝐒 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐄𝐀𝐒𝐓 🌂 Much of the attention has been on the cold air associated with a high-pressure system sliding down from the Northern Plains into the Mid-Mississippi Valley and deepening over the eastern United States later this week into this weekend. However, as this ridge of high pressure situates itself over the East, it will also steer any low-pressure systems, particularly tropical cyclones, away from the region through the first half of next week. This dry weather will allow those impacted by Helene and Milton an opportunity to continue the cleanup efforts through the middle of next week. That rain-free run may extend into the early part of the following too, as model trends point toward that ridge of high pressure quickly being replaced by another late next week into the last weekend of October, leading to a fairly dry two-week stretch. #East #Drought #Dry #Rain #Rainfall #RainFree #Weather

However, the upcoming wave of cold sweeping from the Northern Plains to the Northeast through midweek may be a bit early for some. Temperatures are expected to drop into the upper 20s to mid-30s across the Northern Plains and Northern Great Lakes on Tuesday, in the wake of a cold front passing through the region. As the week progresses, this front will continue pushing south and east, bringing the possibility of hard freezes further north and frost extending as far south as the Central Plains, Mid-Mississippi Valley, Tennessee Valley, and Southern Appalachians. While areas in the northern Plains, Midwest, and Great Lakes, as well as interior portions of the Northeast, are accustomed to seeing frost or freeze conditions around this time, it's quite early for some of the southern regions mentioned above. By the end of the work week, temperatures will either be back to normal or trending in that direction. #Plains #Midwest #GreatLakes #Northeast #frost #fall #autumn #cool #cooler #cold #colder

𝐒𝐍𝐎𝐖 𝐏𝐎𝐒𝐒𝐈𝐁𝐋𝐄 𝐀𝐂𝐑𝐎𝐒𝐒 𝐈𝐍𝐓𝐄𝐑𝐈𝐎𝐑 𝐏𝐎𝐑𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍𝐒 𝐎𝐅 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐍𝐎𝐑𝐓𝐇𝐄𝐀𝐒𝐓 ❄️ It's always a cool day when snow starts showing up on the Threat Intelligence Alerts in the Northeast. Granted, they're for relatively light amounts that will only accumulate on non-paved surfaces, but there are some locations across New York's North Country where not only is 1-3" of snow, with locally high amounts, expected but an accumulation on paved surface is likely through this evening. In other interior sections and higher elevations within the Northeast, the greater potential for a few snowflakes and perhaps even a minor accumulation on non-paved surfaces will come late Tuesday into Wednesday as a trough cycles through the region. Again, it won't be much but it's always noteworthy to see the first snowflakes of the season. #Northeast #NewEngland #Winter #WinterIsComing #Snow #Snowfall #SnowFighters #SnowPros #Snowplowing #SnowRemoval #SnowAndIce #Ice #Deicing #Brine #Salt #SnowAndIceManagement #Weather #WeatherUpdate

𝐈𝐍𝐂𝐋𝐔𝐃𝐄 𝐓𝐇𝐄 "𝐄" 😂 One of the most common mistakes folks make when referring to trueWeather is dropping the "e" and mixing us up with our pals at TruWeather Solutions. We get it, shorthand is all the rage these days—luv instead of love, texting "u" instead of "you"—but we're a bit old school. We still make you spell out the whole four-letter word, T-R-U-E. Yeah, we're stubborn like that. So, while we won't let you cut that particular corner, we do have plenty of other ways to save you time and money. Curious? Just give us a shout. It's T-R-U-E-W-E-A-T-H-E-R... or, if you prefer saving time the easy way, just click this link (https://lnkd.in/e3fAPzs). #trueWeatherNotTruWeather #SpellItOut #NoShortcutsHere #trueWeather #trueWx #winter #winteriscoming #snow #snowfall #snowfighters #snowpros #snowplowing #snowremoval #snowandice #ice #deicing #brine #salt #snowandicemanagement #landscaping #landscapers #contractors #facilitymanager #facilitymanagement #facilitiesmanagement
