Emslie brings a wealth of experience from leading Tarsus for 25 years until its $1B acquisition by Informa last year. Why it Matters: With Emslie’s strategic vision and global expertise, Jacobs Media, led by Chairman Clive Jacobs, is set to accelerate its event and media portfolio of nine brands across travel and hospitality. Jacobs Media will run 160 global events and exhibitions in 2024 in addition to producing its print and digital products.     I’d like to share the amazing journey of creating the official merchandise and store build for this year’s New York Comic Con. It’s truly remarkable to realize how our work resonates with fans, who carry these items home as treasured memories of their convention experience.   This year, we embraced the vibrant theme of Bodega. Our team set out to create an immersive experience that would not only resonate with attendees but also capture the essence of a beloved community staple—the bodega. To bring this vision to life, we collaborated with the talented designer Melissa Doskotz, whose creativity and attention to detail helped us construct a bodega right in the heart of the convention!   From the exterior walls to the signage, She perfectly translated my vision of bodega shelves and even designed an alleyway that housed our exciting Mystery Window Ice Machine. The attention to detail was astounding, and seeing it all come together was a rewarding experience.   The team processed over 10,000 transactions, with 3,000 trips made to our Mystery Window—an interactive feature that added an extra layer of fun and surprise for fans. Each item purchased is a tangible memory that fans can take home, making their Comic Con experience all the more special.   I’m incredibly proud of our team and grateful to everyone who contributed to making this event unforgettable. Thank you to the fans who visited us and created lasting memories—we can’t wait to see what we dream up next year! An enormous shoutout to my team: Travis Allen, Emmett Kimball & Sierra Gray And to all of our contractors and crew for making the store a huge success!
