Last month, Caddo Sustainable Timberlands held its third annual Caddo Youth Hunt, which gives underprivileged youth the opportunity to enjoy the outdoors, wildlife conservation, and ethical hunting practices. As part of TIG’s collaboration with The Nature Conservancy, staff from TIG, TTG Forestry Services, LLC, Caddo Sustainable Timberlands, and The Nature Conservancy in Texas chapter spent a day last month exploring bottomland hardwood forests along the Neches River to assess the potential for conservation and carbon projects. These forests include cypress swamps, some upland pine plantations, and lots of wildlife, including three gators spotted by the team during the tour. #forests #sustainableforestry #sustainablefinance #wildlife
