About us

Personal Contact. Quality Service. Efficient Results. Tueth Keeney. Different by Design. At Tueth Keeney, our law firm is different by design. We pride ourselves in our ability to provide “big firm” quality legal services with significantly greater responsiveness, efficiency, value, and the individual touch of a dedicated boutique practice. Personal contact, quality services and efficient results are the deeply-held values that shape our relationships and drive our success. We believe clients deserve honest, accurate, and practical answers to their legal issues, delivered in the most efficient manner, from attorneys they know, like, and trust. Tueth Keeney has rejected the idea of being "all things to all people.” Instead, we are deliberately focused on being the best at what we do. Our attorneys provide support to our clients in areas of practice in which Tueth Keeney is recognized for our experience and expertise: education law, employment law, immigration law, and litigation. The choice of a lawyer is an important decision and should not be based solely on advertisements.

  • Celynda L. Brasher Named 2025 Best Lawyers® “Lawyer of the Year” in the St. Louis Area Tueth Keeney Cooper Mohan & Jackstadt P.C. attorney Celynda L. Brasher was recently recognized by Best Lawyers as the 2025 “Lawyer of the Year” for Education Law in St. Louis. Only a single lawyer in each practice area and designated metropolitan area is honored as the “Lawyer of the Year,” making this a significant and coveted accolade. These lawyers are selected based on particularly impressive voting averages received during the peer review assessments. Receiving this designation reflects the high level of respect a lawyer has earned among other leading lawyers in the same communities and the same practice areas for their abilities, their professionalism and their integrity. For more than four decades, Best Lawyers has assisted those in need of legal services to identify the lawyers best qualified to represent them in distant jurisdictions or unfamiliar specialties. Lawyers are not required nor allowed to pay a fee to be listed; therefore, recognition by Best Lawyers is considered a singular distinction.

  • Comment Period Closes for Proposed FLSA Regulation Updating Salary Level by Aigner Carr, Esq. and Robert Nickel On August 30, 2023, the United States Department of Labor (DOL) announced a proposed rule that would increase the minimum salary requirements for individuals employed in a “bona fide executive, administrative, or professional capacity (commonly referred to as the “white-collar” or “EAP exemption”). The DOL received approximately 33,309 comments during the notice and comment period, which closed on November 7, 2023. We are now waiting for the DOL to publish the final version of the rule. The EAP exemption regulations require three conditions to be met for an employee to qualify as exempt: (1)  the employee must be paid a predetermined and fixed salary that is not subject to reduction because of variations in quality or quantity of work performed (the salary basis test); (2)  the salary amount must meet a minimum specified amount (the salary level test); and (3)  the employee's job duties must primarily involve executive, administrative, or professional duties as defined by the regulations (the duties test). The employer bears the burden of establishing the applicability of the exemption. Read full article https://bit.ly/3SBqQQZ
