Tunstall Engineering Group is an engineering company with a focus on providing structural engineering services to the construction industry. Our staff has extensive experience providing engineering support to contractors on bridge and other construction projects. We have significant experience on both conventional design-bid-build projects and design-build projects. In addition to great experience, we pride ourselves in doing high quality work. We place high importance on Quality Control and ensuring all deliverables pass through our QC process. Submittals never leave our office without receiving a thorough check by a series of engineers.

Congratulations to Century Steel Erectors, PJ Dick - Trumbull - Lindy, Iron Workers Local No. 3, and Operating Engineers Local No. 66 on completing the steel girder erection on the following structures for Mon Fayette Section 53A1: MF 403: SR 0885 Over Future Mon Fayette Expressway. Erection of the 2- Span Continuous Steel Bridge was completed in March 2024, and was opened to traffic in June 2024. MF 400: SR 0043 NB Over SR 0051, Wheeling & Lake Erie Railroad and Peter’s Creek. 5 Span continuous Steel Bridge Girder Erection completed September 8, 2024. MF 401: SR 0043 SB Over SR 0051, Wheeling & Lake Erie Railroad and Peter’s Creek. 6 Span continuous Steel Bridge Girder Erection completed August 25, 2024. The girder erection of MF 400 & MF 401 were challenging due to the existing railroad, SR 0051, and 138,000 Volt Overhead Power lines. Several boom changes and special rigging was used to erect the areas beneath the power lines on both bridges.

Veit’s Demolition team is at it again! Check out this incredible footage of yesterday’s implosion of a retired power plant in Genoa, Wisconsin. In addition to demolishing the building that serviced the community for over 50 years, Veit will remove over 8500 tons of steel from the boiler house and remove 2800 tons of concrete from the stack.
