This isn’t an imaginary day; it's the day we come together for the 2024 Fun Run at Tupelo Children's Mansion! This year, we're embracing the spirit of superheroes because, to the children at TCM, that's precisely what you are – a hero. This caped crusade theme is the perfect backdrop for a day of joy, empowerment, and community. But beyond the capes and the fun, this event carries a profound purpose: to support the vital services and loving home environment TCM provides for children in need. There are a couple of ways that you can be a superhero for the kids: Sponsor a Team*: Our staff and children have formed four teams for a little added competition on our campus. In partnership with Caring4Community, a local dental group is giving away prize money to the nonprofit in the Tupelo area with the most votes. The nominating period is open now through April 12th. April is Child Abuse Prevention Month! This April, join Tupelo Children's Mansion in standing together for a cause that touches the heart of our TCM community: child abuse prevention. Together, we can create a future where every child grows up in a world filled with hope, safety, and endless opportunities. This year's theme, "Building A Hopeful Future, Together," reminds us of the strength of unity and the power of collective action. We want to give a huge shout-out to Cornerstone Landscapes, owner Chris Bennett, and his team for helping us fulfill our dream of having a campus garden. Earlier this week, they donated their time, expertise, and all of the supplies for our children to begin planting seeds and small plants that will eventually comprise our garden. We have a dedicated greenhouse space, and the students will be tending to the plants as part of their elective time during school. We can't wait to share the progress of this project with you all! And to enjoy some yummy, fresh vegetables later this year! Thank you, Chris and team! We appreciate you guys!

In a partnership between Tupelo Children’s Mansion and Habitat For Humanity, our high school students will go weekly for the next few months to new builds in our area and bless the families in our community with volunteer labor. This will facilitate not only community service hours for their high school transcripts but also teach them valuable life skills and foster a deep appreciation for service and community! Thank you for this opportunity, Northeast Mississippi Habitat For Humanity!

Today, we want to spotlight some real-life heroes, our incredible maintenance team! Their dedication and hard work behind the scenes keep our organization running smoothly and our mission alive. From fixing the smallest hiccups to tackling major challenges, this team goes above and beyond every day. Their attention to detail ensures our facilities are safe and welcoming for staff, children, and guests. Our maintenance team includes Larry Sims (Director of Buildings & Maintenance), Charlie Scully (Maintenance Supervisor), Windell Miller, Keith Lindsey, and Kyle Lindsey. Gentlemen, your commitment to excellence doesn't go unnoticed, and we are incredibly fortunate to have you as part of the Mansion family. Tupelo Children’s Mansion is blessed to hold the nonprofit seat for a local BNI (Business Network International) chapter, King City. Because of this association, we can network with incredible local businesses and industry leaders in our community. We recently recognized our chapter's Vice President, Kim Harbin, as one of our outstanding community partners for last year. We’re grateful for her advocacy that has opened doors of opportunity for TCM and for her contributions to our cause! We love you, Kim!
