  • As stated by the National Institutes of Health, depression affects roughly 6% of seniors over 60 and up to 27% of those over 85. Despite its prevalence, many cases go undetected because symptoms can resemble age-related changes, such as fatigue, loss of appetite, and cognitive decline. Detecting these signs early on is key for effective support and improved quality of life.

  • According to Mental Health America, almost 60 million adults in the U.S. faced mental health concerns in the past year. Throughout Mental Illness Awareness Week (October 6-12), we highlight the critical need for awareness and support in our communities and workplaces. Tomorrow is World Mental Health Day, reminding us that 1 in 8 people worldwide encounter these struggles, as noted by the World Health Organization. Let's join forces to spread compassion, promote understanding, and foster spaces where everyone feels safe to speak up.
