Today, we had the privilege of joining the impactful campaign by Twezuule Foundation♿️ focused on preventing early pregnancies among students with disabilities. Our team contributed by sharing valuable knowledge on Sexual Reproductive Health Rights (SRHR) and Menstrual Health Management, empowering them with the tools they need for a healthier future.

Young women with disabilities are disproportionately vulnerable to unwanted pregnancy. Therefore, efforts to promote their sexual and reproductive health should be intentional and bring all stakeholders on board. I joined an insightful dialogue on Prevention of Early Pregnancies among Students with Disabilities organized at Kyambogo University by Twezuule Foundation♿️. It was encouraging to see so many young men pick interest in this subject and discuss what they can do to protect the SRHR of female students with disabilities. Empowering Students with Disabilities: Breaking Down Barriers in Sexual and Reproductive Health Rights Yesterday I attended an enlightening dialogue organized by Twezuule Foundation♿️ at Kyambogo University, shedding light on CSO’s efforts to uphold Sexual and Reproductive Health Rights (SRHR) for students with disabilities. Observations •⁠ ⁠Uganda has ratified treaties like the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR), guaranteeing the right to health. •⁠ ⁠Despite progress, students with disabilities face oppression and poor attitudes from healthcare providers. •⁠ There is a critical need for inclusive healthcare solutions.
