According to a 2023 IBM study, 50% of CEOs report that they have already begun incorporating GenAI into their products and services, while 43% are using AI to guide strategic decisions. Additionally 75% believe that having the most advanced AI technology will provide a competitive advantage. However, only 29% of their exec teams feel confident about having the in house skills needed to adopt AI effectively. Putting AI tools in place is the easy part, getting value from them long term is the challenging bit. The gap in understanding seems to be widening, with a third of managers in the UK having never used AI and 90% having received no formal training. There is a serious risk of businesses being left behind. Although there are of course uncertainties in this space, we feel confident about the future of an AI enabled world and we fundamentally believe it can change businesses of all kinds for the better.
