Thoughtful and engaging new article by FT's Robin Wigglesworth on Quant Investing. Happy to see our work on long-run value factor featured as well. https://lnkd.in/e9dGtkuy
Two Centuries was established to create long term value for investors because few things are more impactful to financial success than uninterrupted compounding of returns. We are a systematic investment manager, fueled by innovation. Size and bureaucracy (common features in a number of well-known asset management firms) can hinder creativity, which subsequently leads to underperformance. Innovation is part of our firm architecture ensuring we maintain our edge as we grow. While many firms are constrained by taking investment “dogma” to extremes (benchmarks, style boxes, tracking errors, betas, asset allocation etc.), we literally think outside of the box. We ask big questions, look forwards and backwards, and source alternative data. Our strategies are intuitive, reasonably priced, and designed for resilience and sustained alpha. In addition, we consult with asset management firms to help them nurture and enhance creativity within their own organizations.
