We expect most U.S. households, on average, will pay about the same to heat their homes this winter as they did last winter. Comparing this winter’s forecast for the average U.S. household with last winter’s results, we expect: ➡ A 1% increase in fuel bills for homes heated by natural gas ➡ A 5% decrease for homes heated by heating oil ➡ A 2% increase for homes heated by electricity ➡ A negligible change in costs for homes heated by propane #winterfuels #heatingcosts #naturalgas #heatingoil #electricity #propane

Let's discuss distillate fuel oil consumption. Harvesting crops involves the use of diesel-powered agricultural equipment, and the harvest tends to peak in mid-October and continue through November. Coincidentally, that's when the start of the winter home heating season also supports distillate fuel oil demand. With early indications that the 2024 harvest will likely be on schedule or slightly ahead of schedule, we expect distillate demand to grow in line with the five-year average in 2024. https://lnkd.in/ec4gtqCP #diesel #petroleum #distillates

Last month, Constellation Energy announced a 20-year power purchase agreement to provide electricity to Microsoft data centers in the mid-Atlantic region from the Unit 1 reactor at the Three Mile Island nuclear power plant. The arrangement is the second this year in which a nuclear power plant owner has agreed to supply a data center with dedicated power.
