The U.S. Probation Department for the Southern District of New York, is responsible for preparing pre-sentence investigations on individuals convicted of federal crimes, supervising individuals sentenced to probation, or those released under supervised release supervision from the courts or parole from the U.S. Parole Commission and military authorities. The Southern District of New York Probation Office is committed to providing excellence in our service to the Court, inspiring positive change in the justice involved, and protecting the community.

In this position, the incumbents will play a vital role in supporting the Probation Office.
