The year is 1990 and Wilson Phillips’ “Hold On” has made it to the top of the Billboard Charts. July 2nd of 1990 also marks the moment that UASI began its partnership with University of Cincinnati, who remains a loyal client of UASI 24 years later. “Wilson Phillips is a Los Angeles-based American pop trio that were founded in 1989. The group is made up of Chynna Phillips, a child of John and Michelle Phillips of The Mamas & The Papas, and sisters Carnie and Wendy Wilson, the children of Brian Wilson of The Beach Boys. "Hold On" was written by Glen Ballard, with the lyrics by Chynna Phillips. Additional songwriting credits were given to Carnie Wilson. Three months ahead of their debut album's release, Wilson Phillips released "Hold On" in February 1990. The song caught off on radio and finally dethroned Madonna's 'Vogue' from the top spot. It was also ranked as 1990's biggest song of the year by Billboard.”- https://lnkd.in/gPzHYQu2 🌟 Craving more Billboard #1 hits? As we prepare for the upcoming annual AHIMA conference this weekend, we are eager to engage in discussions related to Social Determinants of Health (SDoH). Click the link below to read our latest article on SDoH! https://lnkd.in/gK_tnhXW "Healthcare is evolving, and as we move forward with quality care and compassion, it’s crucial to address the factors that significantly impact patient outcomes beyond traditional medical care. Social determinants of health (SDoH) are these non-medical factors—such as access to food, stable housing, transportation, and utility services—that influence a person's overall health and treatment outcomes. By effectively addressing and coding these determinants, providers can enhance care while also accessing additional reimbursement opportunities."

To celebrate UASI’s #40YearsOfExcellence, we are kicking this week off with the top hit from 1989, "Look Away" by Chicago. In 1989, UASI began a partnership with The Ohio State University that is still going strong to this day! 💫 “Some songs are likely bigger hits than you remember. You might recall “Look Away” by Chicago as a somewhat ubiquitous power ballad from the late ’80s. But did you know that it was the top Billboard hit for the entire year of 1989? “Look Away” details a situation that many of us have experienced: the moment when we realize a former flame has moved on to somebody new. When you called me up this morning, told me ’bout the new love you found / I said I’m happy for you, I’m really happy for you, the narrator begins, but the defeated note in Champlin’s voice lets us know it might be false bravado. Chicago’s run of hits ran out when the ’90s arrived, but 20 years of Top 10 hits is something that few bands have ever achieved. Give credit to their adaptability, the wonderful voices they had at their disposal, and their ability to spot a hit like “Look Away” when they heard it.” - https://lnkd.in/gispmYZb  🎵 Want more throwbacks from the past 40 years? What?!? George Michael is the sole artist to achieve two top Billboard songs? Absolutely! In 1984, as part of the duo Wham!, George Michael climbed the charts with his hit "Careless Whisper," and he did it once more in 1988! Interestingly, this is also the year that UASI signed a contract with the Cleveland Clinic, who remains a client to this day! “It’s 28 June 1986 and 72,000 fans are bidding an emotional farewell to Wham! at The Final concert at Wembley Stadium. George Michael was experiencing mixed emotions. “I was finding it increasingly difficult to write for the group image,” George admitted. “I was writing much more personal lyrics, and it felt increasingly strange for me to be singing those lyrics as head of this two-man group. Things were going downhill because we were growing up; neither of us were teenagers anymore. There was never any question that Wham! was going to end earlier than a group’s normal lifespan because it was not a musical entity – it was an image entity. Released on 30 October 1987, Faith became an instant smash, topping the album charts internationally and selling over a million copies in its first week in the US alone. While commercial appeal had never been a worry for George, the album was met by universal acclaim from the critics, who praised his bravery, his experimentalism and his balladry on an album, which saw him achieve his goal of matching the success of Michael Jackson, Prince, Madonna and Whitney Houston, the global superstars who were now his peers.” - https://lnkd.in/gPkKkUeN
