Fantastic article about Mohit Gupta, one of our founding advisors, and his pioneering work on single-photon imaging! If you happen to be at SIGGRAPH 2024, stop by Booth 463 in the Emerging Technologies area to see some of the amazing capabilities of these next-generation sensors.
At the WISION Lab, Professor Mohit Gupta’s research in single-photon imaging is all about "seeing the world in a new light." Thanks to rising industry interest — and campus partners like Wisconsin Alumni Research Foundation (WARF) — his work is gaining unprecedented traction. Unlike typical cameras, ultra sensitive single-photon cameras are able to detect light down to its most fundamental unit: the photon. “As academics, we’re often concerned with what happens when we push something to its limit,” says Gupta. “These cameras will allow us to capture the visual world around us to the maximum fidelity that physics allows." From extreme robotics to cancer research to self-driving cars, find out what Gupta's work could mean in our latest: https://lnkd.in/gxmu_d6q

We’re back with another demo! Many folks have asked us how well our technology works with conventional camera sensors, so we decided to test it ourselves and share the results. Enjoy!

Thanks for the mention, Reed Frerichs! And thanks to the New England Venture Capital Association for producing this incredible event. Not only did we have a great time at the #NEVYs, it reminded us once again of why we’re so proud to be part of the vibrant Boston innovation ecosystem. It was an honor to be nominated for the Emerging Tech Company of the Year award. Congratulations to Causal for the win!
It was a great evening at the #NEVYs hosted by Ari Fine Glantz and the New England Venture Capital Association. We enjoyed celebrating with founders from our 3 US Intel Ignite cohorts including Atlantic Quantum, Axoft, AI Proteins, CLIKA Inc., Tristar AI, and Ubicept.
