The right candidate will ensure data governance framework and data-related compliance policies are effectively implemented and maintained. This role requires excellent research, requirements facilitation, and communication skills across multiple stakeholder groups. Required is the ability to understand and translate regulatory, contractual, ethical, and professional obligations into sets of business requirements supported by technical and governance capabilities. Target salary range is $175,000.00 to $205,000.00 annually Key Responsibilities: 1.Data Governance Program Support Partner with the Director of Data Governance and representatives from other risk and compliance functions to support requirements identification, metrics calculation, and maturity analysis based on data regulations, policies, and standards. 2.Liaise with Data Protection and Compliance Collaborate with Information Security and Technology teams to understand current data protection capabilities, controls and where they are deployed. 3.Stakeholder Enablement: oServe as a data governance subject matter expert on data management, protection, and compliance matters for internal and external stakeholders. 4.Reporting and Documentation: Work with Enterprise Risk Management to maintain comprehensive index of data governance, protection, and compliance processes, risks, and controls. Experience & Qualifications: BA/BS degree in a relevant field, Master’s / Advanced degree preferred. Relevant fields include but are not limited to Information Technology, Data Science, Computer Science, Law, Philosophy, Mathematics, Political Science. Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in data governance, data protection, privacy, risk, audit, legal, or compliance roles. Strong knowledge of data protection regulations (e.g., GLBA, GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA) and insurance or financial services industry best practices. Experience in the insurance industry, preferably experience both in property & casualty as well as health/stop loss, and in E&S lines preferred; or a strong willingness to learn. Understanding of the insurance value chain, and how and where information gets created and used in the value chain, including the role of an insurance broker (retail/wholesale), underwriters, carriers, and insurance operations.
