About us

At UCHealth, we do things differently. We strive to promote individual and community health and leave no question unanswered along the way. We’re driven to improve and optimize health care. Our network of nationally-recognized hospitals, clinic locations and health care providers extends throughout Colorado, southern Wyoming and western Nebraska. We deliver excellent care close to home, no matter where you might live. Our success is defined by more than our patient volumes or treatment outcomes. It’s about building a team of exceptional people, from our clinical staff to our expert physicians, who consistently do what is right for the individuals we are honored to serve. UCHealth, a 501(c) (3) health system, was formed in 2012 to increase access to innovative and advanced patient care, realize supply chain and IT efficiencies, and to better serve patients throughout the Rocky Mountain region by combining academic-based and community-focused medicine. Together, the clinics and hospitals within UCHealth can offer the most advanced treatments to improve the lives of patients and their families in Colorado and beyond.

Former Olympians Peggy Fleming and Adeline Gray recently visited UCHealth Broomfield Hospital, where they met Michele. Michele has had an incredibly difficult time recently – on a respirator, not sure if she would wake up, very sick with Meningitis from West Nile Virus. She has been in the hospital for a little over two weeks and has just recently started to slowly move around again. Getting a visit from Peggy and Adeline lifted her spirits so much that she, “just wanted to get up and run down the hallway.” Moments like these remind us of how much of an impact we can have on one another ♥️

It was a very memorable afternoon 🏅 Former Olympians Peggy Fleming (Figure Skating) and Adeline Gray (Women’s Wrestling) brightened everyone’s day at UCHealth Broomfield Hospital by sharing their hardware and stories of their incredible feats - not to mention getting to take a quick virtual visit to the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Museum to get a glimpse into the history and achievements of many other Olympians!

Andrea Shirley is a beacon of hope and support for cancer patients at the Breast Center at UCHealth Parkview Medical Center. As a nurse navigator, she not only guides patients through cancer treatments, but also ensures they never feel alone in their journey. Her role extends beyond medical care—Andrea is deeply committed to enhancing the overall patient experience. Andrea secured a grant to provide free wigs to patients, and helped organize a wellness center for her patients called "Bloom." Bloom is not a technical name but their motto is “hope grows there.” At the center, with her dedicated team of volunteers, Andrea has helped create a nurturing environment where patients can receive blankets, pillows and other comforting items. They can also try on wigs or sign up for a bra fitting. Her efforts have helped create a welcoming space where women can feel beautiful and regain a sense of normalcy. Thank you, Andrea, for your work to improve lives. ♥️
