Congratulations to our third recipient of the Pokimane Scholarship, Alaina Ann Klaes! 🎊 Alaina has showed great passion and dedication towards the gaming community and is involved in multiple outlets within the gaming space. UCI Esports is proud to present her with this scholarship for the 2024-2025 school year and be able to highlight such a promising light in our community! Upon receiving this award, Alaina gave us a statement she would like to share: "I am honored to receive the Pokimane scholarship, as a Game Design & Interactive Media major and as someone who is involved in many different aspects of the games space. I constantly strive to have a positive impact on the UCI gaming community, through group game projects in my classes and in VGDC, through my role as a board member in the ICS Student Council, and through my research work as a UROP Fellow and an intern in the Games + Learning + Society Lab." We would also like to thank Pokimane LLC and her team for funding this scholarship and partnering with us to help build a lasting legacy in the gaming community and positively impacting student gamers! 💙
