Last night, UCIMCO was able to present our final portfolio update for the academic year. I was so happy to watch our Endowment Team develop throughout the year, and our Stock Selection and Women’s Fund continued to rock their investments! This semester, all three funds were combined into one presentation to highlight a more integrated company, and I’m so excited to see how we will continue to grow in this aspect. Moreover, all our funds are currently beating the benchmark! Thank you to all those who joined us last night and to all our alumni and donors for your continued support. With this semester now wrapping up, I am so honored to have been chosen to be one of two Chief Executive Officers for the company for the ‘24-‘25 school year, joined by Jack Shimer. We do have big shoes to fill — thank you Evan Coffey and Kaela Frenchman for your amazing contributions to the company as CEOs — and we are beyond excited to tackle the year ahead. Congratulations to the other leaders who were chosen besides Jack and myself, and a huge thank you to our advisors, Jennifer VanGilder and Maureen Cumpstone, for all the time you dedicate to helping us grow. I cannot wait to step into this role and get to work!

This past week I had the honor of wrapping up my first semester with the Women's fund of UCIMCO. All the students did such a wonderful job with their final presentations and it was incredible to watch all the hard-work pay off. As a student it is really important for me to step outside of my comfort zone and engage in new experiences. These experiences spark new connections, skills, and resilience as a scholar. The skills I learned this semester will prove to be incredibly valuable as I continue on my journey in Finance. This is a step in my journey of my life long education and growth. Thank you to Jennifer VanGilder, Maureen Cumpstone, Olivia DeFusco, and Kaela Frenchman (of course, also anyone else who contributed to this semester).

This year, Dr. Jennifer VanGilder and I have had the opportunity to watch the UCIMCO students grow tremendously. We witnessed their resiliency, adaptability and resolve to make UCIMCO a sound student-lead investment management fund. Everyone brought their A game last night and showcased the hard work and research that they put in this semester! We couldn't be more proud of this group of students. I echo Jen's thanks to Gundolf Graml and Terri Albertson for supporting our students. Special thanks to Daniel Myers for his unwavering commitment to this program. To our alumni, we appreciate your ongoing support. UCIMCO continues to do Dr. Scott Deacle proud!
