A team of UF Health researchers led by University of Florida Assistant Professor of Pharmaceutical Outcomes and Policy Serena Jingchuan Guo received $3 million from the National Institute on Aging (NIA) for its work to reduce health inequities faced by people living with dementia. Graduate student Jean Malave, Pharm.D., received a Presidential Abstract Award at the Pharmacogenomics Global Research Network Scientific Meeting in Columbus, Ohio, on Sept. 24. Malavé’s award-winning abstract examined how combining certain antidepressants with clopidogrel, a medication prescribed to prevent blood clots after heart procedures, could raise the risk of heart complications. https://lnkd.in/e56wi88e
