University of Florida Recruiting Summit Day 2 I enjoyed watching the Florida rain from inside while absorbing a wealth of information and insights during day two of the UF Career Connections Center Career Engagement Summit. **🗝️ takeaways:** - Invite friends over and use post-it notes for solutions to recruiting challenges: This hands-on engagement exercise, led by Jacob Oshier and Peter McClary was a standout. - New jargon alert: Learned what a "purple squirrel" is. - Impressive data from Florida Chamber Foundation: Gained valuable insights into Florida Economics. - UF Student panel: I asked a “Would You Rather” question: “Over the next 5 years, would you rather have stability with one company and become an expert in your craft, or learn new skills in new roles and in new locations but with different companies” Their responses might surprise you—DM me for details. - New connections: Made some great new recruiting connections.
