On Friday, July 12th, we joined 14 other local credit unions to bring food and monetary donations to the Philabundance Hunger Relief Center in South Philadelphia in a project led by TruMark Financial Credit Union. Essential food items like cereal, canned vegetables, pasta, peanut butter, jelly, and canned tuna were gathered, supporting those in need across a nine-county service area in Southeastern Pennsylvania and Southern New Jersey. Together, our team of credit unions collected and donated 2,795 pounds of food, equating to 2,329 meals! Along with food donations, nearly $22,000 was generously donated as well. We are always thrilled and thankful to work with fellow credit unions. Thank you to BHCU, Citadel, Eagle One FCU, Franklin Mint Federal Credit Union, TruMark Financial Credit Union, American Heritage Credit Union, Merck Sharp & Dohme Federal Credit Union, Sun East Federal Credit Union, Superior Choice Credit Union, Freedom Credit Union, Penn Federal Credit Union, Tri County Area Federal Credit Union, and Ardent Credit Union. #CreditUnions #Philabundance #CommunitySupport #HungerRelief

This afternoon, we had the pleasure of hosting Maskym Stolyarevsky and Andrij Potichnij from the Ukrainian World Congress - Свiтовий Конґрес Українців (UWC). They gave a brief presentation on the work that the UWC has been doing since 1967 to support Ukraine globally. They also shared some insights on the ongoing fight for freedom and the future development of Ukraine. Currently, they are in the Philadelphia region for an event called "Непереможні, коли обʼєднані - Invincible When United" charity tour, which is a collaboration between the UWC and Serhiy Prytula. Through the "Unite with Ukraine" initiative, the UWC has provided over $50 million and essential protective and medical equipment to Ukraine's defenders on the front lines.
