This month, we’ve been exploring how Social Innovation aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Today, we're spotlighting an innovation at UK that aligns with Goal #5: Gender Equality. Kentucky Perinatal Action for Concurrent Tobacco Treatment (K-PACT), developed by the University of Kentucky College of Nursing, is an innovative, accessible online training program empowering hundreds of pregnant women to quit smoking. The program features interactive modules, up-to-date recommendations and specialized content on electronic nicotine products and concurrent substance use.
