Since 1947, ULI’s Advisory Services Program has convened over 700 panels to tackle complex land use, development, and economic revitalization challenges worldwide. Last week, ULI brought this program to Colorado Springs to help reimagine the future of the North Nevada Avenue Corridor—one of the city's most transformative redevelopment opportunities. With its strong educational institutions, growing industries, and natural assets, this area has the potential to become a thriving live-work-play gateway, seamlessly connecting University of Colorado Colorado Springs and downtown Colorado Springs. A collaborative partnership—including the City of Colorado Springs, Colorado Springs Utilities, University of Colorado Colorado Springs, the Colorado Springs Chamber & EDC, and the Colorado Springs Urban Renewal Authority in collaboration with ULI’s expert panelists and ULI Colorado provided fresh, actionable recommendations to help shape the corridor’s future. Throughout the week, the panel toured the corridor, engaged with local stakeholders, and developed strategic insights to address complex planning and development challenges. We are grateful to our team of panelists – Glenda Hood (Chair) – Former Mayor, City of Orlando; Former Secretary of State, Florida Jose Bodipo Memba – Chief Diversity Officer, Sacramento Municipal Utility District Hal Ferris – Founder, Ferris Advisors Anthony E.
