Our Tennessee employees drive GM forward.
On Tuesday, October 8th, General Motors hosted an 'Investor Day' in Spring Hill, TN, where key investors were invited to tour both the GM and Ultium Cells manufacturing facilities, giving them an up-close look at our advanced battery production process. For us, this day was more than just a tour—it was an opportunity to showcase the cutting-edge work happening here and to highlight the skill and dedication of our employees who make it all possible. We take immense pride in what we’re achieving together!
Proud to support the #Panerathon in Youngstown, Ohio, as a sponsor this year! Over the last 15 years, the Panerathon has raised more than $5 million dollars for the Mercy Health Foundation Mahoning Valley in support of the Joanie Abdu Comprehensive Breast Care Center at St. Elizabeth Hospital. It’s an honor to be part of an event that brings our community together for such a great cause. Let’s keep moving forward, one step at a time!
Ultium Cells Ohio hosted its first EV Roadshow courtesy of General Motors and Spitzer Chevrolet. Throughout the day, employees had the chance to ride in a variety of electric vehicles, including the Chevy Silverado Work Truck, Chevy Equinox, Cadillac Lyriq, and the Hummer SUV. These Ultium-powered EVs showcased the cutting-edge technology and innovation that Ultium Cells is proud to support. Thank you to General Motors and Spitzer Chevrolet for their expertise and assistance coordinating the vehicles. Their collaboration was key to the event's success, providing employees with a deeper understanding of how the battery cells they produce are helping to create a more sustainable, all-electric transportation future.

On Thursday March 21st Ultium Cells was proud to be the title sponsor of Rosie the Riveter Day at the Michigan capitol. The day was full of many speakers (including our very own Tabatha Spedoske), musical performances, and various activities. We had our own corporate tent on the capitol lawn, passed out goodie bags to attendees, and connected with community members about who we are as a company and how Ultium Cells is proud to be in the greater Lansing community and carry on the strong manufacturing legacy in the area. Prior to the event, a group of our Lansing employees even got to attend a VIP reception and meet actual Rosie’s from World War II who helped make this day, and so much more, a reality. Thanks to the Capital Area Manufacturing Council for organizing this event; we were honored to be a part of it.
Last week, Ultium Cells – Spring Hill welcomed Gerald Johnson, Michael Perez, Mellissa Setzer, Timothy Herrick, Kurt Kelty, and Timothy Lamb from General Motors to showcase the significant progress and milestones achieved by both the plant and its dedicated employees. Thank you to the General Motors team for your unwavering support as we work towards a more sustainable, all-electric transportation future! ⚡ 🔋
We encouraged our employees to wear purple today, March 8th, in support of #InternationalWomensDay as we embrace equity to ensure we create places and spaces for women to thrive. 💜
