About us
Since 1999, thousands of people come together to show their commitment to the fight against cancer by taking part in the UMass Cancer Walk. The money raised supports adult and pediatric cancer research and clinical trials of new potentially lifesaving therapies taking place right here in Central Massachusetts. The walk draws thousands of participants annually from Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island and Southern New Hampshire. Approximately 2,600 people are diagnosed and treated annually at UMass but the research supported by the Cancer Walk has the potential to help millions across the globe. Taking part in the UMass Cancer Walk demonstrates a strong commitment to the health and well-being of the people of the commonwealth and beyond.
