Boris, the founder of UMW, Inc., established the company on November 21st, 1996 after immigrating to USA from Former Soviet Union. With almost no knowledge of English but equipped with an MBA in Engineering (Moscow, Russia), he made sure to not give up and keep going. His first CNC shop was a 900 sq.ft. room with one lathe machine. He was dedicated to keep being strong for his family throughout tough times & to apply his degree in engineering to build his company, even though language barrier & adapting to new country were not easy to get through (to be cont'd) Photo: Boris & his wife Yelena
