Life update: I am OFFICIALLY a retired student-athlete! I had the most amazing, challenging, and rewarding four years representing the University of Iowa Women's Rowing Team. I am looking forward to completing my masters degree in December of 2024 in sport and recreation management! As for Unbreakable Female Athlete, I am continuing to grow and expand all over the world! For those of you who know me, I am quite the talker, so my newest endeavors of keynote speaking is extremely exciting to me! My speaking engagements range from speaking to young girls on club teams or in school all the way to speaking for Marriott workers! I am excited to announce that Unbreakable Female Athlete has launched the UFA Coaching Fund. For women, breaking into the coaching realm has been in a decline for years. There are three main constructs of barriers included: (1) Dominant Athletic Culture and Social Stereotypes, (2) Lack of Family-related Support, (2), and Lack of Mentoring and Social Support. The UFA Coaching Fund will provide monetary support towards women completing their coaching licensure. A portion of proceeds derived from the UFA coach apparel line will be designated towards the UFA Coaching Fund. We are looking to establish more designs for the line in the future; however, the classic "The Future of Coaching is Female" is a pretty great first purchase! While we (Iowa Rowing) may race against Oklahoma Rowing, there is something powerful when you see teams ban together for a common cause!
