At Under Armour, we believe in the power of sport to change young people’s lives. In 2017, we launched Project Rampart in Baltimore to provide youth with access to top-tier performance gear, safe play spaces, and essential resources. This initiative has improved athletic opportunities and supported academic growth, with increased graduation rates, higher GPAs, and greater school and community engagement. We are now expanding our commitment to Washington D.C., leveraging our success with Project Rampart in Baltimore as the blueprint for the next chapter. By listening to the community and applying the learnings from Aspen Institute Sports & Society’s “State of Play Washington D.C.”, we will use our resources and platform to create an equitable sports landscape, ensuring every child has access to the benefits of sports.
Washington D.C.’s passion for sports is one of its greatest strengths and can be leveraged to help children develop healthy, lifelong benefits through sports. The nation’s capital is also one of the most complex and politically daunting cities in the country, with an array of municipal, school, federal and private entities organizing and regulating sports with no civic mechanism to connect silos, balance competing interests and create shared solutions to shared problems. Keys to progress? Building an online youth sports directory. Growing investments around underserved populations. A better system to secure fields. More training of coaches. And the creation of a council – either sitting inside or outside of government – to focus on growing quality sports opportunities for all kids. Those are among the recommendations in “State of Play Washington D.C.,” a report released today by The Aspen Institute in partnership with Under Armour and with contributions by Fight For Children. With the release of the report, Under Armour announced plans to invest in D.C. youth sports opportunities, using its Project Rampart program from Baltimore as a blueprint. UA Next All-America Baseball Game is coming home to Baltimore! We're excited to be a part of this incredible opportunity for the next generation of baseball players and are proud to support them alongside Ripken Baseball and Factory Athletics.
"We always strive to provide the ballplayers at our facilities with the big league experience – playing at Camden Yards is as big league as it gets." ~ Cal Ripken, Jr. Today, Ripken Baseball and Baseball Factory teamed up with Under Armour and the Baltimore Orioles to announce that the UA Next All-America Game is coming to Oriole Park at Camden Yards on September 13, 2025. The game will feature the top 40 high school players in the country. This year, we created a path to the UA Next All-America Game, starting with the UA Next Prospect Tour. The tour offers middle and high school players an elite competitive platform and comprehensive scouting experience. Under Armour’s NIL Collegiate Class of 2025 to Celebrate the Postseason 🏀 Six of the top #collegiate basketball players – three men and three women – will help the brand celebrate the post season. This is the first time that Under Armour Basketball has built an #NIL roster of this kind, with the players coming from both Under Armour and non-Under Armour schools across the different conferences, all with grittiness and an #underdog mentality. Buckets in Baltimore: Celebrate 50 Years of Trailblazing Women at the CIAA Women's Basketball Tournament 🏀 🦀 Since 1975, Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) Women’s Basketball players have shattered barriers, inspired generations, and built a legacy of excellence. Honor their courage and commemorate this 50th anniversary with Under Armour's limited edition CIAA product #collection exclusively available at the UA Flagship Brand House in Baltimore Peninsula. World-renowned photographer and UA teammate Devin Allen acted as creative director for this collection that is a tribute to the past, a celebration of the present, and a testament to the enduring power of women in sport.
