For those who are in the area, please come and support this important hurricane relief effort AND get some great eats in the process. Understanding Ag's Adam Grady and his family of Dark Branch Farms in Kenansville North Carolina have donated one of their pasture-raised, heritage-breed Gloucester Old Spot hogs for the BBQ. UA provides farmers and ranchers with the guidance to achcieve their goals, success and profitably through soil health.
About us
UA is a consulting company that helps educate farmers, ranchers and landowners on how to regenerate soils, profits, and their farms or ranches for future generations through regenerative agricultural practices. We focus on what we term the 6-4-3 on every farm or ranch. These are the 6 principles of soil health, the 4 ecosystem processes, and the 3 rules of adaptive stewardship. By implementing these and having an understanding that the soil is a living, breathing, ecosystem, we can achieve great success. Not only can we help achieve farmer and rancher success, but their practices can help to mitigate climate change, including flooding and droughts, provide cleaner air, cleaner water, and increase habitat for wildlife and insects. We believe that we can all agree that these changes would be beneficial for everyone and not just a few.

You’ve done the work, now get credit for it. You’ve invested time and effort into improving your land, creating a healthier, more resilient ecosystem. But why stop there? More and more, food processors and retailers are seeking verifiable proof that the products they source come from farms practicing regenerative agriculture. These buyers want to ensure that the food they’re purchasing aligns with growing consumer demand—and that’s where Regenified can help. By verifying your regenerative practices through Regenified, you unlock data that validates the impact of your farming efforts. This data can deepen your relationships with buyers, providing them with the assurance they need and enhancing the value they see in your farm. When you can confidently show the outcomes of your work—improved soil health, water retention, and biodiversity—you position yourself as a trusted partner in the supply chain. Join us to learn how you can showcase the value of your work and share your regenerative impact with partners and buyers. https://lnkd.in/epNaQmzE

Diversifying your cropping systems is one effective way to do just that, he says, and it’s also a great way to break pest/weed/disease cycles, improve water and nutrient cycles, and stimulate biology. “Never miss an opportunity to cycle the solar energy process and feed soil biology with the carbon that’s created in that process,” Jones says. “Feed the beast under your feet, and it will feed your pocketbook.” https://lnkd.in/gDrFyhmt

Over his decades of farming and ranching, Understanding Ag's Gabe Brown has noticed a troubling trend: the conventional farming techniques he used were degrading the soil and negatively affecting life.
