Eight-year-old Emeldina lives with her family and parrot Jessy in southern Belize, a region grappling with both drought and floods. After school, Emeldina takes on a remarkable job: delivering the weather report on a local radio station. Her family is one of many benefiting from a UNICEF-supported cash assistance initiative. "With this money we buy rice, flour and beans,” explains her father, Omarion. “It helps us enormously." Every child has the right to good nutrition, fueling their body and minds to reach their full potential. UNICEF works alongside governments worldwide to ensure struggling families living through conflict, climate change and economic insecurity, receive the support they need, including vital social and nutrition services.
