A marca REPREVE®️, responsável por reciclar mais de 40 bilhões de garrafas plásticas transformando-as em fios sustentáveis desde seu lançamento em 2007, esteve presente na 18ª FEBRATEX, a maior feira do setor têxtil das Américas, apresentando produtos feitos de REPREVE Our Ocean®, exclusivamente com garrafas plásticas com alto risco de atingir os oceanos e cursos de água e de sua tecnologia proprietária Textile Takeback™ que recicla mecanicamente resíduos têxteis de poliéster, dando ao material uma segunda vida e o inserindo como fio novamente na cadeia têxtil. O processo Textile Takeback e o REPREVE Our Ocean são soluções globais inovadoras para ajudar a cadeia têxtil a avançar para a reciclagem e circularidade, evitando que os resíduos acabem em aterros e oceanos. REPREVE Our Ocean utiliza garrafas plásticas coletadas em áreas dentro de 50 km de costa que não possuem sistemas formais de resíduos ou reciclagem, certificados pela Ocean Cycle. Today, UNIFI®, the makers of REPREVE® announced the launch of a revolutionary insulation material, ThermaLoop™, and a major new REPREVE product offering from our global textile-to-textile recycling program Textile Takeback™ into a white, dyeable filament yarn. Together, these broadened inputs and outputs both powered by Textile Takeback greatly advance circularity in textile-to-textile recycling and closed-loop production, impacting a larger range of applications and overall product implementation.
