Today, we are celebrating 54 years of "A Culture of Excellence" at Unified Industries Incorporated! UII was founded in 1970 by Theodore Adams Jr. and his fellow servicemen from the US Armed Forces. He is pictured here with colleagues, including Parren James Mitchell, the first African American elected to Congress from Maryland. Throughout the years UII has continued to provide services in engineering, metrology and calibration, public transportation and quality assurance, technical training, and logistics and life cycle support with a commitment to customer satisfaction. The company is now led by Mr. Adam’s son, our President and CEO Ted Adams III, who continues the family legacy of delivering services and products at the highest standards. Happy Birthday Unified!

It was a great night for this Phillies and WTS fan!
I was absolutely thrilled to be able to join the Philadelphia chapter of the WTS, last night, at their Summer Lovin' event at Citizen's Bank Park. The chapter is celebrating their 45th anniversary and came together to thank all those who have shown their support over the years. Although I miss NYC at times, I am so happy to be back home in Philadelphia after 23 years away. It has been a pleasure getting to know members of the Philly chapter and I look forward to forging relationships with all of you! Thank you for having me and special thanks to Ty McGilberry, AIF® for the invite, Leslie S. Richards for allowing me to "fangirl", and Lydia Grose for always making a gal feel welcome. Unified Industries Incorporated is thrilled to be a host to the Rice Engineering Alumni interns this year! We can't wait to see the amazing things they will accomplish during their time with us, and the opportunities for learning and growth that we will all share.
The Rice Engineering Alumni has finalized its placements for its fourth summer of the Summer Engineering Experience (SEE). This year, we placed 14 Rice University School of Engineering students into their first engineering experiences! Big thank you to our host companies this summer: Unified Industries Incorporated, Blade Energy Partners, S&P Global, Affiliated Engineers, Inc., AbbVie, Establishment Labs, MEDITEK, Prana Thoracic, and Folio. The Summer Engineering Experience has grown rapidly over the last four years. When the program started in the summer of 2021, we placed two interns at just one host company. This summer, our interns are at nine companies across two countries! Thank you to all our generous donors and host companies for making this program so successful and supporting Rice engineering students in their first engineering experiences.
