  • With its next-generation operating system, the UNE6-2i-750-CR small-diameter gundrilling machine from UNISIG now offers an even better human-robot interface. The new operating system uses a parametric programming environment, which greatly simplifies family of part programming and slashes programming times. The new, larger operator console centralizes the controls for both machine and automation - adjustments to robot program can be made real-time at the  console. It also allows live process monitoring for both gundrilling spindles on one screen. This machine model features integrated robotic automation with interchangeable part trays. The robot services both spindles and accommodates drilling of different diameters from each end. The optional lantern chuck system on this model allows workpiece loading into rear of automatic collet chuck, making accurate workholding possible for uniquely shaped workpieces. The UNE6 series of precision gundrilling machines are capable of holes from 0.8 to 6.0 mm (0.03 to 0.24 in) -- even in challenging materials – making it a favorite of medical manufacturers.
