With over 12 years of welding experience and a diverse educational background from Blackhawk Technical College in Firefighting, Electrical Power Distribution, and Welding, Ben quickly advanced into an Operations Admin role within three years. His proactive approach and deep understanding of our processes were evident as he seamlessly transitioned into filling in for supervisors within six months. In his new role, Ben will oversee operations for Custom, Bluco, and Retail weld, leveraging his extensive knowledge and hands-on experience to drive success in these critical areas. ⭐ Join me in welcoming Barrett Straub as a Cost Engineer to our Engineering Team! ⭐ After graduating high school from Janesville Parker, Barrett went to Blackhawk Technical College for their 1-year welding program to set a solid foundation for a career in the steel industry. Barrett’s worked as a welder, steel fabricator, and traveling pipe welder where he really developed his ingenuity and problem-solving skills. After traveling as a pipe welder, Barrett worked as a Project Estimator. “Experience is credibility that’s been earned, knowledge that’s been proven, & failure that’s been overcome” is a quote Barrett once heard and found it relatable to his career.  Barrett states “I’m self-motivated & hold myself to a high standard, so-as to lead by example. I believe both personal & professional improvement is continuous, so I regularly take the initiative to grow in both of those areas.
