What a night! Our UEW team had an absolute blast at the Idaho Falls Spud Kings game on October 3rd, where we cheered them on to a 2-0 win. The energy was amazing, and it was great to see the community come together to support their hometown team. We were proud to sponsor the game and set up our table, where we got to chat with fans about EEOICPA benefits and why United Energy Workers is known for “Best Patient Care. Best Place to Work.” It was inspiring to connect with so many people, especially those from Idaho National Laboratory, and share how we’re here to support former atomic energy workers in Idaho. A big thank you to the Mountain America Center for hosting the game, and to our incredible team, Jason P.,Stan Olson, Tate Bennett, Annette Hunt, Jaden Hunsaker, Nathan Stauber, Derris Moore, Mayra Bonilla, Jamie Powell, Patricia Heidler, Adriana Bustamante, Nikkia Johnson and Melissa Martinez for making this such a memorable evening. Check out a few snapshots of our team in action and the fun we had watching the game! #BestPatientCare #BestPlaceToWork #UEWHealthcare #SpudKingsHockey #EEOICPA #INL #CommunityOutreach

Energy Plant Workers Discover New Benefits – Featured on Channel 6 in Paducah, KY! We’re proud to share that the Benefits Resource Fair, hosted by our sister company Brightmore on September 6, 2024, was the lead story on Channel 6 in Paducah, KY! The event highlighted the $1.59 billion in compensation and medical benefits already distributed to workers exposed to radiation and toxic chemicals in the Paducah area through the Department of Labor's EEOICPA program. Hundreds of energy workers, their families, and community members attended to explore available resources and healthcare options. Brandy Mitchell, our local Outreach Benefit Advisor, encouraged attendees to reapply for benefits, even if they had previously been denied. "We can always refile your claim," she said, offering renewed hope to many. A big thank you to our community partners for making this event a success. Together, United Energy Workers and Brightmore are making a difference for the region’s energy workers.
