More on the crisis 🔽 #KeepEyesOnSudan

There is no end in sight to the war in #Ukraine and the situation only continues to worsen. Since the end of August, large-scale attacks and relentless missile and drone strikes have continued across the country, leaving more civilians killed and injured. Yesterday at the #UnitedNations Security Council, acting UN Relief Chief Joyce Msuya called on Member States yet again to seize every opportunity to bring this war to an end. "Tents have been wiped out." Yesterday, we led an assessment to the makeshift site in Khan Younis, #Gaza, where a deadly attack took place on Monday night. The site, home to about 300 displaced families, was struck by multiple Israeli airstrikes, creating two large craters, killing and injuring people, and leaving some missing under the rubble. Humanitarian partners identified people with the most urgent needs and mobilized assistance, including distributing shelter materials and essential items, repairing the water well and making protection referrals. Civilians are protected under international law and are #NotATarget.

It's been one year since #StormDaniel devastated #Libya, leaving behind a trail of loss and destruction. Two dams burst near #Derna, releasing strong floods that destroyed lives and livelihoods. The humanitarian impact was profound. Local communities, authorities, partners and the #UnitedNations joined forces in a massive and coordinated humanitarian response, delivering life-saving food, shelter and medical care, and rebuilding essential services and infrastructure. Now, stories of hope are emerging as people try to rebuild their lives. Read more here: https://bit.ly/3TLKOIL
