About us
We are a 501(c)(3) public charity, non-profit organization. Our EIN# 92-1084014. Our mission is to promote physical, mental, and social skills through the sport of rock climbing for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Vision: to create a supportive community for people with disabilities to lead healthy and successful lives. CORE VALUES - Equity & Inclusion - Collaboration - Innovation - Teamwork - Training & Education United Rocks is creating climbing teams specifically designed for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Our goal is to create teams across the United States, and we’re thrilled to announce that United Rocks is rapidly expanding to a climbing gym right in your neighborhood! The climbing journey can pose unique obstacles and challenges for individuals with disabilities, such as wearing gear, getting on a wall for the first time, and becoming part of a team. Each of these milestones represents a victory to be celebrated. We make it a habit to recognize and praise our climbers as they continuously reach new heights, both literally and figuratively. Through climbing, they will cultivate invaluable skills like balance, focus, and communication, fostering their physical, mental, and social growth. Whether you have a child or an adult with an intellectual or developmental disability, or if you simply want to support our mission and community, we invite you to join us on this incredible journey.

Check out how United Rocks has been defying limits in this amazing documentary created by Meredith Manning Productions for the WFAA & Cadillac partnership as part of their “SHAPING:DFW” series, which highlights accomplishments of local dreamers and doers who are making a difference in the DFW metroplex. We dedicate this video to the families who believe in and are a part of our mission. 💕 Huge shoutout all of our volunteers, donors, and sponsors for making this possible! You Rock!! 🧗♀️ https://lnkd.in/gx3Sa6sk #climbing #wfaa #cadillac #motivation #nonprofit

On Wednesday, United Rocks hosted a climbing social event with students from Plano and Denison ISD who are visually impaired. We're committed to promoting physical, mental and social skills through the sport of rock climbing for individuals of ALL abilities, and grateful we had the opportunity to show students the joys of rock climbing! Thank you to all the volunteers who helped make this event possible!
