USIC is proud to be a member of the Broadband Communications Association of Pennsylvania (BCAP) and to have participated in its first Broadband Technology Day, attended by our Director of Regulatory Affairs Michael Feenaughty and Area Manager Rusty Knaub. The event, focused on informing state legislators on broadband industry advancements, provided an opportunity to highlight USIC’s important role in providing underground utility locating services essential to the safe installation and maintenance of broadband networks.

Blood Hound Technician Michelle Carter and Operations Manager Ed Walcher responded to an emergency locate request for the drilling of a well at a hospital in Asheville, NC in the aftermath of Hurricane Helene. The hospital had only a one day supply of water left. Contact Blood Hound to have all public and privately owned underground utilities marked before digging to ensure safe restoration and cleanup efforts and prevent further damage to existing infrastructure.
