They soared high above, conquered their fears, and challenged each other to new heights at Hapik! The auto belay feature on the harnesses were a blessing allowing each member to climb safely and move freely and quickly throughout the rock climbing gym. Over 25 different climbing obstacles equaled no shortage of fun! #unitedthroughhope #indoorrockclimbing #conqueryourfears #challengeyourself

About us
United Through HOPE is a 501 c3 nonprofit that serves children, adults, and their families through various naturalistic programs including social skills groups and social ougatherings. We provide social skills training through a leadership approach to all of our programs. Programs we have are social skills groups, social gatherings, summer camp, vocational training, family therapy, facilitated play, teen programs, and ABA. We have two locations in the North Texas area, Denton and Frisco. We serve those with social challenges that might arise from a disability or from previous social experiences. We have experience working with varying disabilities including autism, cognitive and speech challenges, learning and physical challenges, and AD/HD. Many of our members have experienced bullying or being held back from experiencing the same fun activities as their same age peers.

Ah the Loaded Questions game! A classic. A wonderful way to get the conversations going and learn a lot about your fellow players at the same time. Our teen girls played it at a recent event and were laughing so hard at some of the more outrageous questions that provoked some really funny answers. But even a simple question like “what would you make your tug boat” caused them to erupt into giggles especially after someone answered “toot toot the tug boat.” I’m sure you can imagine this caused giggles to a bunch of middle schoolers😂 #unitedthroughhope #loadedquestions #gigglyfun #hangingwithfriends

Many thanks to the energetic volunteers who helped provide extra support for our lead staff this past summer! Ms. Luna, Ms. Molina, Ms. Arriaga, Mr. Guinyard, & Ms. Salmi were so helpful at each social event. They ensured that all members in attendance received the attention they needed. #unitedthroughhope #volunteers #support

It’s been exciting to see how many of our young adult clients have decided to start college this fall! They have all had a great start too! Most have taken it slow-only 2 classes but that’s smart too especially since many of our adult clients have been out of school for 3 or more years. They also recognize there is nothing wrong with trade type classes or community college.

At United Through Hope there’s no sitting around except when you are planning what to do next because this outing to String Fitness was all about socializing while being active with your body! They played great pick up soccer games on the indoor field and showed excellent sportsmanship. They challenged themselves and each other on the ninja obstacle course items. They goofed around in the foam pits hiding and bursting out at each other. #unitedthroughhope #strongfitness #stayinginvolved #workyourmuscles

Working on our politeness towards customer service personnel skills, money management skills, and forward thinking so the UTH members order quickly, accurately, and with respect! Huge thank you to the cashier at the Denton McDonalds on University for being so nice and patient with the 21 UTH members who ordered from her! Every order came out correct and she caught on to the lessons being learned and allowed natural aspects to occur and have them work through them. #unitedthroughhope #moneyskills #politenesstowardothers

The 3rd-5th grade Allstars members were brilliant with their building skills! They worked as a team to build this in response to a generic prompt provided and they showed their “out of the box” thinking! They were supposed to build “sky high” structures and they did and then added a slide to take the action figures down to a “pool of water” below! All the structures allowed the action figures to run around, up and down, to attack each other😂 #unitedthroughhope #thinkoutsidethebox #teamwork

The Future Allstars group had their last session for the summer today and expressed they didn’t want them to end. We challenged their team work skills to the fullest today allowing them to make decisions that were normally set up for them but also to navigate naturally occurring conflicts while completing the big builds that were previously started and pull off their last collaborative story. Today was heavy also on "staying in your lane" aka not taking over for others because everyone in this room is smart enough to do their "role" if you give them a chance! They had to slow down their instincts and personalities to not rush in to “fix something” or to curb their impatience or to allow natural consequences to occur. #unitedthroughhope #teamwork #collaboration #whatisyourrole #conflictnavigation.

Talk about applying what he’s learning in groups WOW😃👏 one of the young adults decided to bring a new game to group and before hand he thought about his audience and perspective taked how they would feel about some of the cards in the game Red Flag Green Flag. Even though it is a young adult group before coming, On his own, he culled out “questionable” cards that might be a bit too “adult ish” but also because he wanted to keep the game at a comfortable level. His choices paid off because those that played really liked the game and had a blast! #unitedthroughhope #boardgames #redflaggreenflag #perspectivetaking #readyouraudience #knowyouraudience #socialskills #adulting
