About us

Homelessness has grown to crisis proportions in Orange County. Too many of our fellow neighbors have lost hope. Veterans who fought for our freedom are now fighting for a place to call home. People with disabilities often find themselves chronically homeless. If we don't tackle this now through a comprehensive community-wide solution, it will spiral out of control.

  • 📢 Friendly Reminder: Homelessness is NOT a Costume! 🚫🎃 As Halloween approaches, keep in mind that dressing up as someone experiencing homelessness is not only inappropriate but also perpetuates harmful and dangerous stereotypes. 🛑 Homelessness is a real and challenging experience that millions of people face every day. Using someone's struggle as a costume minimizes their humanity and contributes to a narrative that dehumanizes those who need our empathy, support, and understanding. Instead, let's celebrate the season with creativity and kindness. Choose costumes that inspire, uplift, and show respect for all people. Together, we can create a more compassionate and inclusive community. #HomelessnessIsNotACostume #EndHomelessnessOC

  • We recently attended Project Hope Alliance for their open house to explore their programs and learn about their innovative efforts to address the unique challenges faced by youth experiencing homelessness. Studies show that youth without a high school diploma are 346% more likely to experience homelessness as an adult. That’s why the ultimate goal for Project Hope Alliance's programs is for youth to graduate from high school and move toward financial self-sufficiency through higher education or stable employment. • 🟣 Today, our United to End Homelessness team (even our remote members) are rocking purple for #PurpleThursday, a day dedicated to raising awareness about domestic violence. We stand united with survivors and want to shed light on the hidden struggles faced by so many. Domestic violence affects people of all ages, genders, and backgrounds, and its impact is often deeply tied to issues like homelessness. Together, we can advocate for safer communities, spread compassion, and amplify the voices of our neighbors. 🤲 By wearing purple, we show our support and solidarity, hoping to inspire others to take a stand against domestic violence. 💜 Let's continue to break the silence, support survivors, and work towards a future where everyone feels safe and has a place to call home!
