The Eastern CT Health Collaborative (ECHC) and the Health Improvement Collaborative of Southeastern CT (HIC) are working together with Hartford Healthcare and Yale New Haven hospitals to improve local data collection for their 2024 Community Needs Assessment (CHNA). As part of this process, the hospitals are conducting stakeholder interview sessions to better understand the quality of life and important issues facing people who live in Eastern CT. The results of these sessions will help the partners in both of our collaboratives to improve programs and services in our area and where to focus attention and resources.

What a great meeting this morning - today the Eastern CT Health Collaborative, backboned by United Way of Southeastern Connecticut, welcomed CT Commissioners Beth Bye (OEC), Deidre Gifford (OHS), and Manisha Juthani (DPH) along with Senator Cathy Osten and Representatives Susan Johnson, Kathleen McCarty, Kevin Ryan, and Derell Wilson for the Family Bridge Rountable meeting hosted by Hartford HealthCare to discuss the new universal nurse home visiting program for new mothers known as Family Bridge. This program will be administered by TVCCA - Thames Valley Council for Community Action, Inc. Thanks to our state and local leaders for joining the conversation.
