🤝 Partnerships that deliver hope. In the wake of Hurricane Helene, we united with Sol Relief to distribute essential supplies right here in Pinellas County. Together, we made a difference by delivering tarps, toiletries, diapers, and hygiene products to families in need—quickly and efficiently. Read more about it in our latest blog: https://lnkd.in/eAzdbvbz 🌟 This is what collaboration looks like in times of crisis, and with our Disaster Resilience Guide in place, we’re ready to respond with even greater impact. Thank you to our nonprofit partners and donors for standing with us and supporting our community through recovery. Together, #UnitedWeRise. 💙 For more details on how we’re helping, visit our Disaster Recovery Page or call 211 for assistance. https://lnkd.in/e3KVNeAQ #UnitedWaySuncoast #DisasterRelief #StrongerTogether #CommunityImpact #HurricaneHelene

Patrick Doyle stepped into the fray this week, joining us a new team member while the organization continued activating its recovery efforts in the wake of Hurricane Helene. So far, our new Vice President of Grants Management hasn't missed a beat despite the hectic environment. We're glad to have someone with his experience and expertise on board. Welcome Patrick.

Stuff The Bus, Meals on Wheels PLUS of Manatees' annual food drive, takes on added meaning this Sunday in the wake of Hurricane Helene. As an event partner, we're eager to help the Manatee community members impacted by the storm. We recorded this Suncoast Snapshot with United Way Suncoast Philanthropic Engagement Specialist Briana Mays before the storm, but we hope it'll help ignite much needed healing for our Manatee friends. https://lnkd.in/etvVpF95 #UnitedWaySuncoast #UnitedWay #SuncoastSnapshot #HurricaneHelene #MealsOnWheels #ManateeCounty #StufftheBus

In the wake of a natural disaster, we see both the heartbreak of destruction and the heartfelt generosity of those stepping forward to ask, "What can I do to help?" Now that Hurricane Helene has passed, assessments will begin and we know some of our neighborhoods have experienced severe damage. And we begin the long process of disaster relief and recovery across the region. Rest assured that United Way Suncoast will be here with our community every step of the way as we have been for more than 100 years. With that in mind, we wanted to share important resources for those who may need assistance, and those able to offer it. If you are looking for way to ✨ get help, donate, or volunteer ✨ we invite you to visit our Disaster Recovery page here: https://lnkd.in/e3KVNeAQ #UnitedWaySuncoast #UWS #HurricaneHelene #DisasterRecovery #HurricanceRecovery #HurricaneResources

We invited the community to volunteer to honor first responders and those who lost their lives on September 11, 2001, and the community showed up in full force. Nominees for the Tampa Bay Business & Wealth’s Apogee Awards program volunteered to create appreciation kits for first responders. FedEx, Gresham Smith, The Home Depot, PAR Inc., and Santander gathered groups of employees to participate in various projects, along with numerous community volunteers. We also had first responders who wanted to volunteer their time and read with children with United Way Suncoast’s Quality Childcare Initiative centers. In total, we staged nearly 25 projects with more than 220 volunteers serving in excess of 530 hours. All of our work is centered around community and collaboration and we’re so grateful for everyone who took time to volunteer. #UnitedWaySuncoast #UWS #nonprofit #911WeekOfService #Volunteers #CommunityImpact
