  • This #WomensHistoryMonth, we're celebrating the incredible women at #UnitedTherapeutics who are transforming the treatment of rare and end-stage organ diseases every day. Keri Dame is a Senior Scientist on our Tissue Engineering Team in the Organ Manufacturing Group, where she leads a team pioneering efforts to 3D-printed lung scaffolds, tackling complex problems to advance organ manufacturing. "It's fulfilling to know that my efforts could directly contribute to improving people's lives", Keri says. Denise Wang, Director of Product Safety Sciences, leads our efforts to detect, assess, and prevent adverse effects across United Therapeutics products. Collaborating with the Safety Risk Management Team and other departments, Denise is driven by a powerful purpose: "I get to help others—our patients and my colleagues—and be a force for good in the world." Thank you Keri and Denise for your passion and dedication. You make us #UTProud! #WomenInStem #Innovation #RareDisease

  • Employees working at the United Therapeutics Computational Laboratory for In Silico Molecular Biology (CLIMB) are "like meteorologists", explains Joe Bender, Senior Director of CLIMB. The key difference is that his team's analysis and predictions are focused not on the skies above, but on the mysteries within. "We are trying to build a digital model of a human lung that is so faithful to the biology of an actual human lung that the U.S. Federal Drug Administration approves its use to inform the design of our 3D printed lungs." Learn more from Joe and team members Amy Smith, Josua Aponte-Serrano, and Pavan Pillalamarri about how they are using "math like a microscope" to try to help advance UT's 3D printed lung alternative program: https://bit.ly/3XfzZQA

  • Last week, United Therapeutics had the privilege of sponsoring two luncheons at the Pulmonary Vascular Research Institute Annual Congress in Rio de Janeiro—fostering connection, mentorship, and growth within the PH community. Building on the success of last year, the Women in PH Luncheon honored the incredible contributions of women in PH research, amplifying their collective voice and impact. The inaugural Career Catalyst Luncheon provided opportunities for emerging professionals to engage with seasoned researchers, sparking new ideas and fostering mentorship. The exchange of ideas, advice, and connections was truly inspiring. We are deeply grateful to all who participated and helped make these events unforgettable. Together, we are advancing PH research and cultivating a stronger, more inclusive community.
