Coalitions are a great example of how our community works together to create lasting change. One coalition we support is the Cass Clay Hunger Coalition. This group is committed to improving access to healthy food for people experiencing hunger, improving coordination and providing support to local hunger-relief agencies, and providing member organizations relevant education and training to best support our neighbors facing food insecurity. We’ve been deeply involved in the Cass Clay Hunger Coalition since it began and our team is excited to be a planning partner in this year’s annual summit. 🏠 Last night in our community, about 1,000 of our neighbors experienced homelessness. At United Way we are working with local experts to identify the root causes of homelessness and focus on prevention. We invest in both homeless shelters as well as preventive programs, all with a focus on helping families break the cycle of poverty for good. United is the way we cultivate solutions to end poverty.
