We share in our community's loss of longtime former Hallmark CEO, Donald Hall, Sr. Hall was a firm believer in the work of United Way of Greater Kansas City. He and his wife, Adele, helped form our Tocqueville Society, a group of deeply committed philanthropists who are passionate about advocating for systems-level change, volunteerism and commit $10,000 or more annually, giving us the ability to build healthier communities, enhance youth and educational opportunities and foster financial security for all. His legacy has been cemented in the ongoing philanthropic commitment at Hallmark, whose employees today value the work and mission of United Way, raising tens of millions of dollars to support those most in need and always stepping in to serve our community. Thank you to FOX4 for sharing his impact—a reminder that when each of us contribute what we’re able, we can make a meaningful difference. https://buff.ly/3NvJyG1

"The fentanyl crisis is having a dramatic effect on our healthcare and education systems, our youth and community centers, and more importantly our families. Losing a loved one to fentanyl overdose is a disruptive and unnecessary reality for families and our community at large. By raising visibility and awareness of both the issue and the resources available, it is our hope that we can collectively bring an end to this senseless loss of life." -United Way President and CEO Chris Rosson We hope to see you tomorrow to talk about this important issue, Mayor Quinton Lucas will be moderating the conversation. RSVP to MayorQ@kcmo.org if you can join us.

Honoring our ancestors and celebrating their lives, Mattie Rhodes Center's Día de los Muertos opening celebration was a beautiful reminder of the importance of family, community, and the rich traditions of the Hispanic community. The event was filled with food, drinks, and elaborate ofrendas paying tribute to loved ones. Mattie Rhodes, an Impact 100 organization, continues to uplift and celebrate the cultural heritage of our Hispanic neighbors, and we’re proud to support their impactful work! This month, join their Día de los Muertos workshops, and mark your calendars for the Calaca Light-Up Parade on Friday, November 1. Follow their socials for registration and details! 🎉 #HispanicHeritageMonth #DiaDeLosMuertos
