We’re proud to offer comprehensive sign language services to our Guests and Team Members—a commitment made possible by our talented team of nationally certified Sign Language Interpreters! This year, our interpreters' expertise was called on to support the "A Quiet Place" haunted house at Halloween Horror Nights. For the first time, American Sign Language (ASL) was incorporated in both the video for the house announcement and the experience itself. From assisting with casting and production for the video to teaching the house’s Scareactors specific phrases in ASL, our Sign Language Services Team has been an integral part of this project. Yvonne and Kerry Ann, two of the ten Sign Language Interpreters on the team, are proud of the work they've done to support this endeavor. “There are so many Guests and Team Members at Universal who are Deaf, and now we’ll represent them in a whole house that’s based on a film with a Deaf actor who uses sign language," says Yvonne. "I’m glad we’re doing it first.”
